This year’s Middle States meeting will be held on October 24-25 in York, Pennsylvania at the historic Yorktowne Hotel. York has many layers of history that can still be seen in the downtown landscape today. In the 18th century it served as the temporary capital of the Continental Congress as the location where the Articles of Confederation were drafted and adopted. In the 20th century York grew as a small industrial city along the Lincoln Highway and today bills itself as the “factory tour capital of the world” with over 20 factory tours available throughout the city and county.
As my first “official” duties as president of MSDAAG I’d like to extend a well deserved thanks to Kelly Frothingham for hosting a great 2013 meeting in Buffalo. Given the success of the past couple of meetings I hope that I can continue this tradition in York for the fall of 2014.
I look forward to seeing everyone again at this year’s meeting and another great MSD regional conference.
